Obituary for Mark F. Willis

Mark F. Willis, age 63, of Beatrice passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Bryan LGH West Hospital in Lincoln. He was born January 14, 1956 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Ernie and Bonnie (Kirkendoll) Willis. Mark grew up and attended school in Wymore. Mark lived several places, including Texas, New York, California, Utah, Colorado and Wyoming before settling back in the Lincoln, Nebraska area. Earlier in life Mark joined the National Guard and did his Basic Training at Fort Knox in Kentucky. Mark had a great interest in nature, he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, swimming in lakes and rivers. He enjoyed being with his family and friends. He also enjoyed reading and discussing the Bible, playing Pinball and shooting pool. The last few years he had lived in Diller and then Beatrice.
He is survived by one sister, Dixie Willis; three brothers, Gary Willis, Bob Martin, and Ron Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tasha Ray Willis; brother, James; his long-time companion, Verdean Sheets; and stepfather, Harold Raymond Martin.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at Beatrice Seventh-day Adventist Church, 200 N. 10th Street, Beatrice with Pastor Hubert D. Cisneros officiating. Cremation has taken place and there will be no viewing. A luncheon will be held at the Westside Baptist Church, 448 W. Court Street immediately following the service. Burial will take place after the luncheon at the Wymore Cemetery in Wymore at 1:00 P.M. on Friday. Memorials may be given to the family. Arrangements entrusted to Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice
