Obituary for Lela M. Krajnik

Lela M. Krajnik, 90, of Beatrice passed away at the Crete Medical Center on Sunday, June 16,2019. She was born in Fairbury on March 25, 1929 to Egbert and Rose (Starck) Riggle. She attended school through the 8th grade. Lela was a homemaker her whole life. She married Elmer Meyer on April 24, 1957 and they later divorced. She married Eugene Krajnik on December 2, 1967. She enjoyed her family.

Survivors include children, Emery (Deb) Meyer of Beatrice, Henry (Joan) Meyer of Fairbury, Gail (Rich) Durflinger of Alexandria and Eugene “Butch” Krajnik, Jr. of Wilber; six grandchildren, Daniel (Sheila) Durflinger, Angie (Nate) Bianchi, Joshua, Jacob and Ashley Durflinger and Cameron Meyer; four great-grandchildren, Braiden, Wyatt and Parker Durflinger and Kennedy Bianchi; one sister, Hazel Rehm of Beatrice; two nieces, Cindy Weichel and Peggy Brooks. She was preceded in death by her parents, Egbert and Rose (Starck) Riggle; two husbands, Elmer Meyer in 2008 and Eugene Krajnik in 2015; two grandchildren, Dale Durflinger and a baby girl Durflinger; one brother-in-law, Allen Rehm.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Fairbury Cemetery of Fairbury with Pastor Douglas Hileman officiating. A memorial has been established to the family for future designation. The body has been cremated. There will be no viewing or visitation. Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
