Obituary for Larry Jobman

Larry D. Jobman, 75, of Hickman died Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Tabitha Journey House in Lincoln. He was born on July 24, 1943 at Beatrice, graduated from Adams High School in 1961 and began working for the Nebraska Department of Roads. His career expanded over 50 years. He also served in the National Guard. He married Carol Busboom on May 4, 1969 at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church where he had served on the church council. He enjoyed working outside, crossword puzzles, and all sports, especially baseball and was a Cardinals fan.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Jobman of Hickman; two sons, Scott (Amber) Jobman of Omaha and Craig (Kelly) Jobman of Denver; seven grandchildren, Trent, Bella, Carsten, Gracie, Lucy, Ryker, and Everyn Jobman; sister, Patricia Snyder of Ashland; sisters-in-law, Donna Jobman of Adams and Doreen (Robert) Ideus of Beatrice; brother-in-law, Wayne (Patti) Busboom of Beatrice; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilke and Edith Zimmerman Jobman; brother, Richard Jobman; brother-in-law, Bob Synder; parents-in-law, Ted and Irene Busboom; nephew, Cory Busboom.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church of rural Hickman with Pastor Ron Drury officiating. Burial will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery of rural Pickrell. A family prayer service will be held 10:15 A.M. Thursday in the fellowship room at the church. A memorial has been established to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church with Randy and Judy Fischer in charge. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. and then one hour preceding the service at the church on Thursday. Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice is in charge of the arrangements.
