Obituary for Teresa K. (Katie) Goldsmith

Teresa K. (Katie) Goldsmith, 20, of Lincoln formerly of Beatrice died at her home on Monday, August 28, 2017.  She was born August 13 1997 at Fairhope, Alabama and moved with her family to Beatrice at an early age.  She graduated from Beatrice High School in 2015 and had been active in the school choir and track team.  During her school years, she worked at the Kensington of Beatrice.  After graduating, she attended Southeast Community College of Lincoln and studied nursing.  She worked at Euphoria of Lincoln and Nelnet of Lincoln where she was the intake operator for Home Advisor.  She was a confirmed member of Centenary United Methodist Church of Beatrice.  She had been active in 4-H, Girl Scouts, the swim team at the YMCA, playing the piano, painting, collecting crystals and minerals, making jewelry and knitting.

            Survivors include her parents, Tom and Terri Goldsmith of Beatrice; one brother, Tanner Goldsmith and girlfriend Nicole Gilland of Beatrice; grandparents, Scott and Dorothy Chase of Peru; two uncles, Kent Chase and wife Jodi and Kurt Chase and wife Sandy all of Lincoln; an aunt, Michele Lincoln and husband Marty of Denton; numerous friends who cared for her deeply.

            A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  A memorial has been established to the family’s choice.  A guestbook for signatures will be available at Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Thursday and Friday.  Online signatures and messages of condolence is available at  Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
