Obituary for Keith W. VanLaningham

Keith W. VanLaningham, 58, of Beatrice died at the Nebraska Heart Hospital on Monday, September 11, 2017.  He was born October 26, 1958 at Beatrice and was a baptized and confirmed member of St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice.  After graduating from Beatrice High School in 1977, he worked in the maintenance department at American Tool for over 30 years and then he worked at Plymouth Industries as a jig builder and also in the maintenance department.  He married Sue Hackler on July 28, 1995 at the Kensington Chapel in Beatrice.  He was a past member of Eagles Aerie #531 of Beatrice and enjoyed working on Kevin’s race car, dirt track racing, NASCAR, fishing, NE football and being with his grandchildren. 



            Survivors include his wife, Sue; one son, Kevin (Debra) VanLaningham; two grandchildren, Tobey and Brady; his mother, Barbara VanLaningham; two sisters, Cindy McCarthy and Diane (Jim) Jurgens all of Beatrice; three sisters-in-law, Beth Mais of Beatrice, Mary Price of York and Julie (Dale) Robinson of Ong; one brother-in-law, David Hackler of Beatrice; numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth VanLaningham.



            Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice with Chaplain Sharon Schuster officiating.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice.  Please wear casual attire.  A memorial has been established to the family’s choice.   The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice from 3:00 P.M.
