Obituary for Bonnie Schiebur

Bonnie Schiebur, 88, of Sterling, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams. She was born on September 7, 1929 at Talmage and graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1947. She married William “Bud” Schiebur on October 17, 1953 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Omaha. They lived in Omaha for many years before moving to Sterling in 1976. She was the bookkeeper for Johnson County Department of Roads for nearly 20 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Sterling and the Rebecca Circle. She was also a member of the Red Hats and Legion Auxiliary both of Sterling and enjoyed reading.

Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Wilt and husband Steve of Phoenix, Oregon, Lisa Manganaro and husband Terry of Omaha, and Amy Stivers and husband Chris of Fishers, Indiana; two sons, Jeff Schiebur and wife Michelle of Wymore and Chris Schiebur and wife Roxane of Adams; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bertha Keithley Moller; her husband, William, who died on April 27, 2011; three sisters, Maxine Twiss, Marcia Wolf, and Frances McCoy; two brothers, Kenneth and John Moller.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 5, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church in Sterling with Pastor Steve Chellew officiating. Inurnment of the cremains will be held prior to the service. A family prayer service will be held at 10:45 A.M. Monday in the fellowship room of the church. A register book for signatures will be available from noon until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday with the family greeting friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to St. John Lutheran Church and the Sterling Legion Auxiliary with Erma Hazen in charge. Zink-Fox Funeral Home of Sterling in charge of the arrangements.
