Obituary for Beryl A. Jacot

Beryl A. Jacot, 76, of Beatrice went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, January 20, 2018 at UNMC in Omaha. She was born on November 9, 1941 at Pine City, MN. She graduated from Pine City High School and was a homemaker and Chiropractic Assistant for her husband for many years. She married Dr. Harold Jacot on October 16, 1971 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA and moved to Beatrice at that time. She was a former member of the Pine City Evangelical Free Church, and sang in a gospel band, and First Baptist Church in Beatrice where she was an adult and children’s choir director and organist. She was a member of Christ Community Church where she had been an organist, and was the Kings Kids director for 33 years. She taught Fascinating Womanhood classes. She sang at Parker Chiropractic Seminars throughout the U.S. She loved her flowers, music, antiques, Hallmark movies, and was an avid Husker football and basketball fan. She loved her Honey, children, grandchildren, and her four legged companion Molly.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Harold Jacot of Beatrice; her children, Deb Jacot of New Berlin, WI, Robbyn and Michael Haley of Beatrice, Dr. Lori and John DuChene of Anaconda, MT, Ryan and Stephanie Miller of Lakeville, MN, Becky and Greg Long of Mora, MN and Rachelle and Craig Schmidt of Cortland; her grandchildren, Abbey and Ty Crider, Isaac Haley, Ashley and Hannah Miller, Jenny Long, and Sophia, Evan, Isabella, and Elias Schmidt; brothers, Bart and Ruth Bliss of Yucaipa, CA, Brad Bliss of St. Michaels, MD, Bert and Dorie Bliss of Stillwater, MN; sister, Becky and Steven Damon of Haven, KS; brother-in-law, Dr. Earl and Elvera Jacot of Baldwin, WI, sister-in-law, Carol and Ryder Landgren of Maplewood, MN; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ted and Wanda Wickstrom Bliss and her in-laws, Earl and Nellie Jacot.

Celebration Of Beryl’s Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Christ Community Church of Beatrice with Pastor Jack Magness officiating. Private burial will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice prior to the service. A family prayer service will be held at 10:45 A.M. Friday at the church. A memorial has been established to the Music Department and Awana Club at Christ Community Church with Tim and Nancy Summers in charge. Closed casket visitation will be held from 8:00 A.M. Wednesday until 9:00 P.M. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home with the family meeting friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday. www.foxfuneralhome.net.
